Mercedes Ryan

Mercedes played had an outstanding weekend against the highly rated Humber Hawks. During the first game Mercedes scored 9 points had 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals, outclassing the Humbers Point Guard. Ryan gave the Cougars a chance to defeat the Hawks in the first game with her performance on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. It was obvious that she was the best playing on the court that night.The second game she struggled offensively as Humber changed their strategy to taking Ryan out of the game. Mercedes still scored 6 points while being guarded the entire game stopping her from getting the ball. Even while being pressured she was able to grab 13 rebounds, and 1 steal.

With this amazing performance Mercedes Ryan has been named Female Athlete of the Week.
