Game recap from Sault College Women's Soccer vs. Algonquin
Sault College's first Women's soccer road game got off to a shakey start with the Cougars falling behind 3-0 in the first 15 mins. After some adjustments by Head Coach Claudia Leveque the women were able to hold Algonquin at bay for the next 45 min. The lone Cougar goal was scored by Sarah Ferguson on a cross from Jenna Laitinen late in the first half. Strong goal keeping by Mikaela Caputo kept the Cougars close for most of the game. The final score was a 6-1 loss to the Nationally ranked Algonquin squad.
Game recap from Sault College Soccer vs. St Lawrence College
Sundays game started similar to Saturday's game with the Cougars getting off to a slow start falling behind 3-0 in the early going. The Cougars were able to gain some momentum with another goal From outside the 18 yard box well struck ball from Sarah Ferguson. The women lost their steam going into the second half and we fell short with another 6-1 loss.
The Women's Soccer team is in action this coming Sat. at home versus Durham College. They play the first game of our homecoming celebrations Sept. 21st at 1:00pm at Superior Hts. field.
