In the series opener vs Miami of Ohio, the Cougars got off to a roaring start striking early in the contest for 2 goals only 17 seconds apart just 2 mins into the opening frame! In a tightly played 2nd and 3rd period, the teams traded goals before the Soo was able to add an insurance marker to secure the 5-2 victory. Cougars 1st year goaltender Justin Richer was sensational at times making a number of big saves in keeping the team ahead in the contest. Captain Ryan Vendramin led the way with 2G, 1A while linemate Max Khull had a goal and 2 helpers. Austin Rowe chipped in a pair of assists along with Kaiden McDonald. Noah Serre and Mark Tassone both contributed a goal and assist for the home squad and rounding out the scoresheet was Steve Khull notching an assist.

In the return matchup, The first period was hotly contested and saw the 2 teams trade goals in a rough affair. The Cougars found themselves in penalty trouble early and often and played short handed the majority of the period. Killing off the last of the penalties 2 minutes into the second period and having weathered the storm, the Cougars returned to even strength and flexed their offensive muscles!  4 unanswered 2nd period goals broke open the game and sent Miami to the room at intermission down 5-1.  The onslaught continued into the 3rd period as the Cougars kept on the attack and poured in another 5 3rd period goals on route to a convincing 10-1 victory. Goaltender Justin Richer was one again solid between the pipes in the win. Captain Ryan Vendramin again led the way with a 5 goal effort while Bryston Lalonde chipped in with a pair of goals. Steve and Max Khull each added 4 helpers while Parker Morgan, Dan Heelis and Lucas Duckstein tallied a goal and assist. Tanner Mayne and Austin Rowe also contributed 3 Assists to the scoresheet for Sault College!
