Cougars Defenceman Ritchie signs Professional Contract
Sault College Men’s Hockey Player and graduating Senior Jordan Ritchie has signed his first professional hockey contract. After completing his senior season at Sault College, Jordan signed a professional contract with the Baton Rouge Zydeco in the Federal Professional Hockey League (FPHL).
The hard work Jordan put in as a member of the Sault College Cougars hockey team on and off the ice helped him to earn a shot playing hockey at the next level. Jordan played two games with the Zydeco over the weekend and will continue with them through the rest of their season.
Across parts of three seasons as a member of the Cougars, Ritchie played in 60 games, accumulating 8 goals, 25 assists and 111 penalty minutes. Before joining the Cougars, Ritchie played four seasons in the NOJHL with the Espanola Express, Elliot Lake Wildcats, Blind River Beavers, Soo Thunderbirds & French River Rapids.
Great work Jordan!
