Valle, Farstad named Sault College Freshii Athletes of the Week

Men's baseball player Jayden Valle and women's soccer player Farrah Farstad were named Sault College's Freshii Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 17, 2023.

Valle, a first-year third baseman and catcher from London, Ont., studying Business, collected five hits, including a double, and stole five bases, helping the Cougars secure their first win of the season against the highly ranked Humber Hawks. Jayden's five stolen bases place him third in the OCAA in that category.

Farstad, a first-year defenceman from Sudbury, Ont., in the Civil Engineering Technician program, had a solid presence on the back end for the Cougars during their two home games over the weekend. Farstad made brave tackles and didn't let up for the 180 minutes played.
