Blixt, Petingola named Sault College Freshii Athletes of the Week

Men's baseball player Bryce Blixt and women's soccer goalkeeper Jayna Petingola were named Sault College's Freshii Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 1, 2023.

Blixt, a first-year Sports Administration student from Manistique, Mich., collected 3 hits, including a double, a sacrifice fly, and 5 RBIs in helping the Cougars sweep the Seneca Sting in a double-header on Sunday afternoon.

Petingola, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., has faced 130 shots in only five games this season. Petingola is a dedicated veteran player who continues to battle hard in each game.
