Riley, Bowman named Sault College Freshii Athletes of the Week

Men's hockey player Trennis Riley and men's curler Evan Bowman were named Sault College's Freshii Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 29, 2023.

Riley, a first-year goaltender from Havre, MT, studying Mechanical Engineering, has recorded five wins in his last five starts with the Cougars. Riley has made key saves during his time between the pipes, including this weekend's action against the Wisconsin Badgers when the Cougars came away with two 4-3 victories.

Bowman, a second-year Bachelor of Engineering-Mechatronics major from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., had a consistent weekend at the Soo Curlers Fall Classic. Bowman is leading his team with the highest shooting percentage, which will be a huge asset for the Cougars' program this season.
