Williams, Zimbaro Named Sault College Freshii Athletes of the Week

Women's hockey player Amelia Williams & Men's hockey player Gabe Zimbaro have been named Sault College's Freshii Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 21, 2024.

Williams, a 1^st year defenseman from Peterborough, ON pursuing an Electrical Engineering Technician degree was a standout this past weekend in the Sault Showcase. Williams recorded a top shelf snipe from the point against Dakota College while providing a steady presence and efficient puck movement from the back end.

Zimbaro, a 1^st year Electrical Engineering student from Sault Ste, Marie, ON put forward his best weekend of the season at the Goggin Ice Centre. Zimbaro recorded a goal and assist while providing responsible defensive play, helping the Men's Cougars Hockey Team to secure 2 wins over the weekend.
