Cougars Announce Nicholson as Assistant Coach for Women's Volleyball

Sault College is excited to announce the newest memebr of teh Women's Volleyball program - Assistant Coach and Recruitment Coordinator, Andrew Nicholson! With a rich background in volleyball coaching and administration, Coach Nicholson brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and a winning mentality to our program.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions to the sport, Andrew Nicholson received the 2015 Sportsperson of the Year Award from the City of Burlington/Sports Alliance Burlington. His coaching journey includes significant roles:

  • Seven seasons as the OCAA Head Coach of Canadore College Women’s Varsity Volleyball program.
  • Five seasons as the OCAA Head Coach of Mohawk College Women’s Varsity Volleyball program.
  • Two seasons as the Lead Assistant of Guelph University Women’s OUA Varsity Women’s Volleyball.
  • Nineteen years as the Founder/President and Technical Director of the Burlington Blaze Youth Volleyball Club.

Coach Nicholson is renowned for his high energy, creativity, and unwavering dedication to athlete development. With proven success in program development, team building, and recruitment, he brings a winning formula to every role he undertakes.

Nicholson is eager to contribute to the relaunch of the OCAA women’s varsity program at Sault College. In his role as Assistant Coach and Recruitment Coordinator, he is committed to working alongside our motivated athletics department and the vibrant volleyball community to propel our program to new heights.

With Coach Nicholson's guidance, we are confident that our volleyball program will thrive, and our student-athletes will excel both on and off the court.
