Thunderwolves Rumble past Cougars
GAME 1: SAULT COUGARS vs LAKEHEAD THUNDERWOLVES
THUNDER BAY, ON – The Cougars were locked in a defensive battle in the first two periods of the game holding Lakehead to two goals with some stellar play by goalie Jennifer King. The Cougars also ran into a solid performance by Lakehead goalie Jessie Pettinger who would turn away every Sault shot. The floodgates would open in the 3rd period when the Cougars allowed three goals and would end the game with a 5-0 loss.
GAME 2: SAULT COUGARS vs LAKEHEAD THUNDERWOLVES
THUNDER BAY, ON – The Cougars would turn to Katrina Simon between the pipes for the Sault's second game against Lakehead over the weekend. The Cougars would open the scoring with a goal from Mackenzie Monico and would hold the early lead. Lakehead would strike before the end of the period to tie the game at 1-1.
Lakehead would flex their offence prowess in the 3rd period scoring four unanswered goals behind another strong goalie performance from Jessie Pettinger sending the Cougars to a 5-1 loss in their second game against Lakehead.

GAME 3: SAULT COUGARS vs ASSINIBOINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
THUNDER BAY, ON – The Cougars wrapped up the weekend against Assiniboine Community College. Assiniboine would strike twice in the first period to hold the lead over the Cougars at the mid-point of the period. Assiniboine would continue to pepper Sault goalie Jennifer King and would get 3 more past her by the end of the game. Rachel Barban would add a goal assisted by Kaitlyn Lambert-Mousseau but Assiniboine would skate away with the 4-1 win.
