Bio

Candace is entering her third season as a scout for the women's hockey team. After playing five seasons at the University of Windsor, Candace continued her hockey journey by joining the Pittsburgh Penguins in their Youth & Amateur Hockey department during their 2015-16 Stanley Cup winning run. During her time, she began coaching with their Pens Elite and Pens Selects Program.

After her time in Pittsburgh, Candace moved back to her hometown of Toronto to work with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL during the 2016 season, where they hosted the Grey Cup. Following her time with the Argos, Candace found employment with Canlan Sports - the largest athletics and programs provider in North America. She is currently the Manager of Female Youth Leagues & Tournaments at Canlan Sports.

Candace has been involved in coaching for over 7 years, having coached at all levels. Kourounis was a key contributor behind the scenes during the 22-23 season when the Cougars celebrated a 31-0-0 record and were named ACHA National Champions after a 6-1 win over Northeastern University.
