Cougars Battle the Lions

The Men's Basketball team travelled to Sarnia Ontario to compete in back to back games against the Lambton Lions in OCAA action.

On Saturday Novemebr the 10th the Cougars took to the court at 4:00pm, in the first quarter the Cougars could not get their legs underneath them as the started the game off very slow which say the Lions roar to a large lead of 34 - 3. The Cougars were able to bounced back during the second quarter which saw both teams score 19 points, Stephen Miller and James Skalko brought a spark into the game coming off the bench. However even with this strong performance in the second quarter, the Cougars were not able to surpass the rampaging Lions, as the final score saw the Cougars fall 104 - 42.

On Sunday November the 11th the Cougars had a rematch against the Lions. The Cougars had a better performance in the first quarter ending it 16 - 24 for the Lions. The scoring for the Cougars was consistant throughout the game with a slight drop in the second quarter, however the Lions score stayed consistant as well scoring above 20 each quarter. Sheldon Goulbounre provided 25 of the Cougars 62 points in their loss against the Lions.

The Cougars are back in action this Friday Novemeber 16th as they host the Redeemer Royals (3-2), tip off starts at 8:00pm in the Health and Wellness Centre. Come out and support your Cougars.
