Sault College Men's Basketball Moves in New Direction

Sault College will have a new bench boss for the start of the 2019/20 season as it was mutually agreed between the Athletic Department and current Head Coach Aaron Brown that a change would benefit all involved. The Cougars have failed to make inroads in the OCAA over the last few seasons and both parties felt it was time to chart a new course.

Coach Brown leaves the program after a solid career as an athlete at Sault College, 2 years as an assistant coach and 3 years at the helm of the Cougar basketball program.

"It was a difficult decision for all involved as we all have such great respect for Aaron around the Athletic Department and he really has been the glue keeping our program together over the last couple of seasons.  He is a tireless competitor and the effort and passion were evident every time he stepped on the court. Ultimately, we all agreed that a reset was required for both Aaron and the program due to the lack of competitiveness in recent seasons.  On behalf of the Athletic Department we want to thank Aaron for his efforts with respect to the Men's Basketball program and wish him great success moving forward.  As an alumni and former player he will always be welcome at Sault College."
