GAME 1: SAULT COUGARS vs CONESTOGA CONDORS

SAULT STE. MARIE – In game one the ladies struggled on the score board against the Condors but there was great effort put forth by the Cougars. Conestoga shot an impressive 45% from the field and were a plus 12 in the rebounding margin. The very athletic trio of Beckford, White and Abdalla for the Condors were too much to for the Cougars to handle leading to the 75-35 loss.

Taylor Elliott was very efficient during game one coming in off the bench, scoring 9 points on 3 for 7 shooting leading the way for the Cougars. Skylar Toms and Andrea Gorman chipped in with 7, while Clara Yanchuk and Cassidy Sabourin added 5 to round out the Cougar attack. On the defensive side Cassidy Sabourin and Bryanna Baker did all they could hauling in 6 and 5 rebounds respectively.

GAME 2: SAULT COUGARS vs CONESTOGA CONDORS

SAULT STE. MARIE –  In game two there was better start by the ladies as they exchanged baskets with the Condors for most of the first quarter and the Cougars found themselves in the lead at points near the end of the frame thanks to some 3 point shooting that was missing from the Cougars offence in game one.

The rest of the game the Condors pulled away by massive performances by Megan White of Conestoga who drained 21 points and Maddy Weber who contributed 14 points and 18 rebounds that prevented the Cougars offence that was present in the 1st quarter.

Andrea Gorman had a very good shooting night going 4 for 10 and knocking down three 3's in the process which helped the Cougars in their strong 1st quarter start. The first year player from Bowmanville led the Cougars with 11 points. Cassidy Sabourin was a consistent presence again and hit for 8 points. While Clara Yanchuk added 7 and Skylar Toms chipped in with 6. Gorman also had a very impressive game on the boards leading the team pulling down 8. Emma Filion also grabbed 6 boards.
