Bio

Born and raised in Sault Ste Marie, Chris grew up playing in the local hockey system. After playing for the Sault North Stars under Mike Hall, Chris played for the Blind River Beavers in the NOJHL and the Chatham Maroons in the GOJHL. After attending Lakehead University and completing a Bachelor of Education, he moved to Kapuskasing, Ontario, where he helped coach the Kapuskasing Flyers U18 AAA team.

After returning to the Sault, he has coached at various levels, including the U14, U15, and U18 AAA levels. He was also the head coach of the Superior Heights high school hockey team, where he teaches history and law. On top of his coaching experience, Chris has evaluated players for teams in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League and the Central Canada Hockey League. He has also taught at the Algoma District School Board Hockey Canada Skills Academy, where he teaches individual skills and dryland.

The Cougars are excited to have Chris join their staff as the Director of Player Development.
